RN II - Pediatric Intensive Care Unit

Job Summary: The staff RN is a professional caregiver who follows the framework of primary nursing and assumes responsibility and accountability for the care and teaching of groups of patients/families for a designated time frame. The staff RN directs and provides care to these patients utilizing therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the environment/instrumentation and other team members.Job Requirements: Current California RN. license.Current CPR card.Minimum 6 months previous experience as an RN required, previous pediatrics experience a plus.Physical Requirements: Sit: Up to 3 hours/dayStand/Walk: 6-8 hoursBend/Stoop: Up to 3 hoursReach: Up to 6 hoursRep use of UE/Grasp: Up to 6 hoursLift/Push/Pull: 40lbs. or over 40# with assistance lbs. with assistance or equipmentAbility to comply with infection control and other safety policies.This job requires the ability to hear alarms, clients and/or instruction the ability to see accurately from 20 inches to 20 feet.
