Overview:
Cyber Defense Technologies (CDT) is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Junior Penetration Tester to join our team in Denver, Colorado. As a junior Penetration tester, you'll work alongside with experienced penetration tester to assess the security posture of systems and applications by identifying and exploiting vulnerabilities. You will be responsible for comprehensive testing of cyber mitigation controls, through test plan creations, test case (manual and/or automated) development and test case execution.
Clearance Requirements:
An active Secret clearance is required. Candidates who do not meet this requirement will not be considered.
Responsibilities:
Test and validate security controls to meet DoD requirements.Assist with security assessments and penetration tests on network systems, web applications, and mobile applications to identify vulnerabilities.Prepare detailed reports outlining the effectiveness of the system to resist/cope with simulated attacks, including potential paths to exploitation.Assist in the development of mitigation strategies to enhance the security posture of the organization.Stay updated with the latest testing tools, methodologies, and industry trends.Participate in security audits to ensure adherence to internal security policies and compliance with relevant national security standards.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field.Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in cybersecurity, specifically in penetration testing or ethical hacking.Familiarity with penetration testing tools and methodologies (such as Metasploit, Burp Suite, OWASP tools, etc.).Understanding of network protocols, encryption techniques, and secure coding practices.Ability to document and explain technical details clearly and concisely.Preferred Certifications: OSCP, GPEN, CEH, CISSPFamiliarity with the following Web Application tools; Burp Suite, Web Inspect, Empire.Salary range: $90,000 - $105,000
