SUMMARY: Performs a full range of responsibilities and duties of the IV Therapy Department as allowed by the Nurse Practice Act; provides direct patient care using nursing process and is accountable for own practice; participates as a patient care advisor; initiates/participates in patient and staff education; demonstrates leadership skills; and demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide appropriate care to the age of patient served on the nursing unit or by patient care departments.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Requires graduation from an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred
Experience: Requires two years of recent medical surgical or critical care experience. CRNI (Certified Registered Nurse, Intravenous) preferred, IV therapy experience preferred.
License: Requires current license issued by New York State to practice as a registered nurse.
