Overview
Client is growing rapidly, and we are looking for a Citrix engineer, who is a motivated, self-starter that can assist with our virtual desktop infrastructure.The ideal candidate will be proficient in supporting both physical and virtual end-user desktop environments through innovative solutions.Demonstrates a strong drive to take ownership of issues and see them through to resolution.Possesses a keen awareness of emerging technologies that align within our organization.Proactively identifies opportunities for streamlining processes, adding value, and elevating the overall end-user experience.Essential Job Functions
Responsible for the installation, maintenance, configuration, security and integrity of computer operating systems and supporting softwareWill engage in interactive collaboration with personnel at all organizational levelsEngage with customers by collaborating through phone, email, messaging, and video conferencing for developing innovative ideas.Communicate effectively with customers as committed, impressing customers with the ability to deliver resolution or status according to that commitmentAnalyse the experiences of a user and implement solutions that consistently improve user experienceWrite scripts using PowerShell to automate tasks and extract information from the infrastructureBuild VDI images for general useBuild VDI images for specific teams and use casesMigrate users to new platformsCreate Documentation for deliveryKnowledge
Excellent written and verbal communication skillsMust be an adaptable self-starter and work with minimal supervisionMust be able to juggle multiple projects and organize time effectivelyExcellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsMust keep up to date on current technology trendsSkills and AbilitiesRequired:
Experience working with large-scale infrastructure environmentsBasic understanding of scripting using PowerShellWorking knowledge of Windows 10 & 11Basic understanding of Active Directory, Group Policy Objects, TCP/IP, DNS, Firewalls, etc.)Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPointPreferred:
Experience with Windows management tools such as SCCM and Workspace ONEExperience with Service NOW incidents and requestsWorking knowledge of certificate management processExperience with tools such as Director, Citrix Studio, and VenafiFamiliarity with SysTrack or other monitoring toolsExperience
5+ years of Citrix Virtual Apps or Desktop experiencePrevious experience in a leadership role is a plus
