Senior System Architect, GPU
NVIDIA, Santa Clara, California, us, 95053
We are now looking for a Senior System Architect for our GPU team!
A key part of NVIDIA's strength is to innovate in the graphics and parallel computing fields, delivering the highest performance in the world for graphics processing. We are constantly looking for ways to improve our GPU architecture and maintain our leadership. NVIDIA is seeking a motivated system architect to define future aspects of our GPU employing pioneering technologies. Your role will be cross-disciplinary, working with software, ASIC design, verification, physical design, VLSI and platform teams. Our system architects excel at pushing the state of the art while making the best engineering trade-offs.
What you will be doing:
Develop GPU architecture improvements, optimizing along the axes of performance, power efficiency, complexity, area, effort, and schedule.
Understand future workloads for GPUs and architect solutions that help optimize these future workloads on our GPUs.
Develop and enhance performance analysis infrastructure, including performance simulators, testbench components and analysis tools, to evaluate different architecture options.
Implementing and maintaining high-level functional and performance models. Analyzing application workloads and performance simulation results to identify areas for architecture improvements
Defining and performing experiments to study architectural features, presenting experiment results to larger groups and proposing mechanisms for improvements.
Document decisions in a system architecture specification, working with multi-functional teams in the organization including ASIC design, software, and VLSI to explore architecture trade-offs, define overall solutions and tracking development progress.
What we need to see:
Master degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field.
6+ years of meaningful work experience in GPU or CPU Architecture.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required along with the ability to work in a dynamic, product oriented, distributed team.
Experience with GPU architecture and graphics pipeline, memory subsystem, Network-on-Chip (NoC)/Interconnect and/or off-chip IO.
With competitive salaries and a generous benefits package, NVIDIA is widely considered to be one of the technology worlds most desirable employers. We have some of the most forward-thinking and hardworking people in the world working for us. Do you desire to be a part of a team of dedicated engineers developing ground-breaking GPU architectures from specification through implementation to extend the state of the art in GPU performance and functionality? Are you motivated to solve complex problems while optimizing performance, area, complexity, and power? If so, our GPU architecture group is looking for you!
The base salary range is 180,000 USD - 339,250 USD. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.
You will also be eligible for equity and benefits (https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/benefits/) . NVIDIA accepts applications on an ongoing basis.
