Responsibilities & Requirements:The charge nurse leader is responsible for the assessment, coordination, implementation and evaluation of the delivery of safe and effective patient-centered care during their assigned shift. The charge nurse will facilitate, precept, and mentor staff and team members to grow professionally and advance their knowledge and skills. They will continuously assess unit needs to ensure adequate resources for current and upcoming shifts by collaborating with other department, clinical and nonclinical, to coordinate timely admissions, transfers, and discharges of patients. The charge nurse will always demonstrate professionalism, meet regulatory and policy requirements, engage standards of practice, and hold team members accountable for safe, competency practice, quality care, and continual improvement. Charge Nurse reports to Clinical Nurse Manager.JOB REQUIREMENTS:Bachelors degree required within 3 years of hireRegistered Nurse; Current RN licensure in the state of OhioMinimum of 1 years clinical nursing experienceWork Hours Days or nights with weekend commitmentCPR required ACLS, PALS, NRP TNCC per unit requirement (If required and not current must be obtained within 6 months of employment) demonstrated leadership and coaching abilities, demonstrated professional and ethical behavior, must be passionate about nursing and teamwork.
