Job Description

Candidate will serve as the System Admin with responsibility to build, update, secure, and support assigned on-premises infrastructure. Candidate will support a small team of engineers, while developing and maintaining relevant procedures and standards to ensure availability of foundational infrastructure systems. Candidate will be responsible for translating requirements into capabilities for technical teams comprised of engineers, stakeholders, and users. Candidate should be a self-starter able to identify, adopt and implement emerging software trends. This individual will be a team player and work well with technical professionals in a multi-discipline agile environment.

Essential Job Responsibilities

Be part of a team responsible for creating, maintaining, and augmenting an on premises compute environment Translating requirements into capabilities for technical teams Present status reports to key internal stakeholders. Evaluate new tools, technologies, and processes to improve on-premises environment Other job-related duties as assigned. Linux system administration: backups, accounts, storage, compute resources, upgrades Minimum Qualifications

3 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 1 year relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 7 years relevant experience. Minimum Secret clearance required to start. Must be able to obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI with enhanced security checks. Preferred Requirements

3+ years of experience interfacing with users 3+ years of experience in virtual or containerized environment 3+ years of experience with automation scripts: Bash, Python, Ansible, PowerShell 3+ years of experience with Linux administration [Desired] Experience with VMware vCenter and ESXi [Desired] Experience with GitLab/GitHub pipelines and actions [Desired] Experience with containers like Docker and Kubernetes
