Job Title: Local Contract - Registered Nurse - Med/SurgNumber of positions: 2Years of experience: One to three years Shift: Night shifts- 36 hours Duration: 13 weeksStart Date: 01/21/2024Hourly pay: $39.83OT: 1.5Weekly Pay: $1,433.80JOB DESCRIPTIONDepartment: Medical Surgical 11 WestShift Timings: 18:30 - 07:00 Hours Monday to Friday (3 Days/12 Hours Shift) Per Week: 36 HoursThis department is a 28 unit, serving Medical/Surg adult patients and does have telemetry capability.Nurse to patient ratio is 1:5-6. The unit is also supported by PCTs and a Healthcare unit coordinator.Utilization of virtual sitter monitoring is available as well as monitor techs to monitor those on telemetry.Roles & Responsibilities•Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.•Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.•Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.•Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.QUALIFICATIONS•BLS and ACLS•National Institutes of Health (NIH)•Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.•The ability to stand for extended periods.•Strong technical skills.•Knowledge of medical terminology•Passionate about patient care•Requires a minimum of two years of current RN Med/Surg experience. •Graduate from a fully accredited RN program•Active unencumbered Oklahoma RN state license •One year of Epic experience Requirements•COVID vaccine with 2 Shots & Booster.SKILLS/ ABILITIES/ COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.Participates in relevant continuing education programs.Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.ABOUT HEALTHCARE STAFFING PLUSHealthcare Staffing Plus is a US based national per diem, local contract, and locum tenens agency.
