is seeking a Nurse Practitioner ( NP ) to join our Neurocritical Care Team at Saint Marys Hospital in Richmond, VA. The primary responsibility of the Inpatient Neurocritical Care NP is assessment and medical management of adult neurological patients admitted to the adult medical-surgical intensive care unit. The NP will utilize advanced clinical skills and knowledge to assess patients and manage all aspects of care.
He/she will communicate clinical issues to the physicians as appropriate, write orders according to standardized procedures/protocols, perform daily patient-care rounds, and facilitate arrangements for discharge/transfer.
The NP will collaborate with the care team to coordinate and manage the process of patient care from the point of admission to the hospital, through discharge and hand-off to an outpatient care provider to ensure continuity of care where applicable. Job Details: Schedule: 3 12hr shifts/week - must be open to nights / weekends Credentialing: Saint Marys Hospital Average Patients Per Day: 10-20 Patient Base: Inpatient Typical Day: Support NIS Physicians and Neurologists.
