School Occupational Therapist
Location:
Whitestone, GA
Time Commitment:
Full-time, Upcoming School Year (2024-2025)
Job Insight:
Participate in team meetings and IEP discussions as necessary. Coordinate therapy goals with educators and service providers. Educate students, families, and staff on promoting independence. Monitor progress, update plans, and maintain comprehensive documentation. Assess students' fine motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living activities. Provide occupational therapy services, including activities and sensory techniques. Develop personalized treatment plans with input from students' teams and families. Requirements
Commitment to continuing education and professional development Current and valid Georgia state licensures as an Occupational Therapist. Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program. Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple cases with varying needs. Experience in pediatrics or school-based settings is highly preferred but not mandatory. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and educate clients and their families.
