The Data Quality Analyst is responsible for the documentation of data flows, data profiling, and the validation of dictionaries. The Analyst must maintain and enhance the quality of data across various business operations, both within Enterprise Data & Insights (ED&I) and enterprise-wide. They play a vital role in mapping data from source to target, ensuring that the data's journey is smooth and fits within the data quality framework of the organization. The Analyst collaborates with the data governance team, ED&I and DT colleagues, aiding in the assimilation and utilization of data. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS: Understand, analyze, and document data flows, collaborating with ED&I colleagues as well as business stakeholders Conduct data profiling and validate data dictionaries Perform source to target data mapping activities Collaborate with the data governance team for data quality related initiatives and projects Maintain thorough and accurate updated records of data remediation activities Proactively conduct testing to ensure data consistency, reliability, and the other elements of data quality Advocate for the utilization of data quality best practices across the organization Participate in continuous learning activities to expand knowledge on new data quality trends and technologies Develop and maintain data quality scorecards, ensure data quality issues are reported timely and track resolution FORMAL EDUCATION: Required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field, or in lieu of related degree, at least 6 years of experience in data management Preferred: Related certifications (e.g., Certified Data Quality Professional (CDP), CDMP) preferred KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE: Required: 2 years of experience in data quality management Strong understanding of data management and governance processes Experience with effectively mapping sources to target data components Experience in developing and implementing data quality frameworks, policies, procedures, and controls TECHNICAL/SKILL REQUIREMENTS: Required: Data Quality Assessment and Monitoring Tools (e.g., Informatica Data Quality, Collibra DQ) Data Analysis Tools (e.g., SAS, R, Python, SSAS) Database Management (e.g., Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL) Travel 0-5% Sherwin-Williams is proud to be an Affirmative Action, Equal Employment Opportunity, Inclusion and Diversity Supportive Employer.
