All qualities missing in the last group of candidates they interviewed.ABOUT THE ROLE DBHDS -
Sr Business Analyst is needed to work on the Enterprise Data Warehouse Project, which will replace the existing data warehouse platform with a vendor-hosted SaaS platform.
As part of the Data Exchange Program, the Enterprise Data Warehouse Modernization Project will fulfill one of the top priorities of the Commonwealth's behavioral health strategic plan, which is to deliver a transactional and secure statewide data exchange for behavioral health data.This position will be the business analyst focusing on the transition of an existing SQL Server-based data warehouse (on prem) to an external vendor-delivered SaaS solution.This project includes working with the vendor to build integrations with source systems and implement Master Patient Index.This position will coordinate extensively with DBHDS and partner stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze business needs, and collect and analyze data to be used internally and exchanged between DBHDS and partners.We are specifically looking for candidates who can assist us in collecting, analyzing and developing artifacts that the incoming EDW vendor will need to architect and build the EDW and the integrations. Experience with data warehouse implementations is required.This is a long-term project and therefore this engagement will be extended for the right candidate.Position will be hybrid remote with 1-2 days minimum required on-site at DBHDS office in Richmond.Parking will be in public lots with a daily rate.Skills:
Experience with collecting requirements and artifacts for data warehouse design and implementationExpert in working on complex projects that require a high level of coordination among multiple workstreamsExpert in gathering, compiling, evaluating, and interpreting complex informationSkilled in accurately capturing important information during meetings and brainstorming sessionsExpert in presenting work results and recommendations in both verbal and written formSkilled in communicating clearly with stakeholders at all levels of the organizationExpert level skill in MS Excel, Vision, and PowerPointExperience with health information systems, health data and clinical and billing codesExperience with analyzing SQL Server stored procedures to extract business rules and data quality checks
