We have locations in Cranberry Township, Pa and Pittsburgh, Pa.Position Summary:We are now hiring a Operating Room Nurse. The ideal candidate must demonstrate a commitment to support the clinics goals of providing each patient with a positive experience while receiving quality comprehensive eye care from the providers.The Operating Room Nurse provides ongoing assessment and nursing care to patients in the facility in accordance with Physicians orders, policies, procedures, and processes within the scope of practice. Collaborates with physicians and team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care. The Operating Room Nurse is responsible for the direct and indirect provision of safe, professional nursing care of the patients in the operating room. The nurse is accountable for ongoing evaluation and documentation of all components of care delivered to patients within the perioperative and outpatient environment utilizing the nursing process.Responsibilities:Follows and completes assignments as given by the Clinical Director and ProvidersCollaborates with appropriate disciplines in developing coordinated outcomes and interventionsCirculates surgical procedures for various surgeons that operate at the facilitySupports and maintains a safe patient care environmentEnsures that the Operating Rooms are maintained in a clean, safe, and sanitary mannerPrepares surgery suite for surgical proceduresFollows established universal precautions in the use of PPEIndividualizes patient care according to patients health status and surgery/procedure being performedOperates equipment and performs technical skills according to policies and standardsRecognizes situations (patient, staff, visitor, and physician) and significant assessment findings that require verbal or written communication and follow through to the appropriate peopleMonitors surgery inventory and notifies appropriate individual(s) when supplies are neededParticipates in identifying and developing the performance improvement focus and criteria Supports the mission, vision, and core values of the organizationObserves facility policies, procedures, and processesPurposefully conducts all aspects of job in an ethical manner in support of the organizations commitment to ethical behavior in all areas of personal and professional activityQualifications:

High school graduate or GED certificate recipientGraduate of accredited school of nursingActive RN license in the state where work will be conducted.BLS and ACLS certificationCurrent surgical experience (within past 3 years)Ability to make sound nursing judgment based on nursing theory.Demonstrates primary nurse accountability through coordination, communication, and continuity of patient care.Must be able to assess, prioritize, plan, and implement direct patient care.Assumes responsibility for competency of practice and takes initiative for professional development and continuing education.Working knowledge and experience in hospital or ambulatory surgery center including direct patient care.Ability to adhere to work schedule and manage time appropriately.Ability to utilize resources in a timely, organized, and cost-effective manner.Knowledge of patient monitoring equipment.
