DevOps Engineer (Lead)

SRC, Inc. is currently seeking a Lead DevOps Engineer to architect and design solutions and integrate software tools and computer hardware used to support development of leading-edge radar and communications technology. As a member of the DevOps team, you will help design and support SRC's HPC infrastructure, Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment pipeline, and other various workflows and systems.

What You'll Do

Work with cross-functional engineering teams and with stakeholders such as customers, cybersecurity, and compliance, in order to determine solution requirements and high-level designEvaluate, procure, install, configure, and maintain DevOps tools for software and firmware builds, CI/CD pipelines, configuration management, static analysis, and cybersecurity scanningSelect, procure, install, and configure hardware for compute, storage, and networkingDesign and develop internal use scripts, tools, databases, and web applications as needed to fill gaps and integrate COTS and FOSS softwareDevelop designs, documentation, and presentations to communicate high level architecture and design details to stakeholders and for user training purposesAssist management by providing input to estimates and schedules, supplying project status, and providing oversight of activities to track progress and ensure successful project completionProvide mentoring to less-experienced staff membersWhat You'll Bring

Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, computer engineering, information technology, computer information systems, or another engineering or IT discipline6 or more (6+) years of relevant experienceExperience with Linux and Windows system administrationExperience with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, and PowerShellExperience with version control tools such as GitExperience designing, developing, and maintaining solutions based on stakeholder requirementsAble to work effectively on teams as well as work independentlyPreferred Requirements - Ways to Stand Out

Total compensation for this role is market competitive. The anticipated salary range for this position based out of Syracuse, NY is estimated at $100,000 to $126,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's experience, skills, and abilities, geographic location as well as other business and organizational needs.
