About the position

We are seeking relief and part time Veterinarians to grow our Urgent Care team at Palmer Lake Veterinary Clinic. The incoming Veterinarian will get to create their own schedule, will only see non-life-threatening cases and our urgent care shifts start at just 6 hours in length! You will have the opportunity to grow into a fulltime role as you grow the urgent care side of the practice. We offer shifts with

no overnights

to ensure a true work/life balance and a premium salary.

Palmer Lake Veterinary Clinic, a CareVet partner and booming practice in Palmer Lake, CO is now offering urgent care services! Located in one of the premier communities in Colorado, this hospital is a well-established, well-equipped full-service small animal practice with in-house CBC and chemistry analyzers, full body and dental digital radiography, radiosurgery, therapeutic laser therapy, and ultrasound.

Examine animals to assess their health and diagnose problemsTreat and dress woundsPerform surgery on animalsTest for and vaccinate against diseasesOperate medical equipment, such as x-ray machinesAdvise animal owners about general care, medical conditions, and treatmentsPrescribe medicationWork closely in collaboration with team members to provide high quality careQualifications

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree requiredLicensure in the state/s candidate will be workingAbility to show compassion to both pets and their ownersOutstanding dexterity in handling animals while performing precise tasksAbility to react quickly and make decisions under pressure about the wellbeing of an animalStrong fondness and understanding of animalsGood communication and interpersonal skillsKnowledge of animal behaviorAbility to use medical technologies during diagnosis, research and surgery of animals
