Job Description:The client is seeking a candidate to perform technical and analytical work architecting, developing, testing, and otherwise supporting the Retirement Division's pension administration system, ORBIT, with new development initiatives and operational support. This includes completing enhancements to the ORBIT system dictated by legislative changes passed in prior legislative sessions with upcoming mandated implementation dates to support the new laws. The candidate will serve as part of a 16-person development team overall, with specific projects having teams between 4 and 9 development team members at various points in those project schedules.
Development duties include:
Business process automation analysisSystem architectureCoordination with business analysts on implementing business requirements and use cases developedSystem designSystem developmentTesting methodology implementation including building out automated unit tests for all code developedTest plan development and executionSystem automation and integration with Microsoft (MS) .NET languages and technologiesReport development with MS SQL Server Reporting ServicesTightly coupled development/integration with Workflow technologies.
