Tool & Die Design EngineerChicago, ILOur client is now hiring a Tool & Die Design Engineer!Responsibilities of the Tool & Die Design EngineerUsing AutoCAD or another CAD platform, design tooling and progressive dies for use in Four slide and Multislide press bed sections as well as punch presses for metal stampings.Design jigs & fixtures for use on the shop floor.Estimate internal tooling costs.Troubleshoot the validation and runoffs pertaining to your die designs.Serve as a liaison working with customers as needed.Requirements of the Tool & Die Design EngineerA metal stamping background such as tool and die making is required.At least one year of full-time engineering experience in the metal forming industry such as internships or Co-ops is a very strong plus but not required.Excellent benefits including numerous bonus plans and growth potential!Excellent location near Harwood HeightsCompensation for the Tool & Die Design EngineerThe targeted annual starting salary for this position ranges from $70,000.00 to $90,000.00 plus bonus depending on experience.
