The successful delivery of product to residences or job sites leaves the end-user with the best impression of Star Nursery and its product and services. This is a Safety-Sensitive position that requires an exceptional driving record and valid credentials to drive our insured vehicles.**Job Description*** Fully understand how to operate and safely drive your assigned vehicle* Drive vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) under 26,000 lbs.* Pick-up and safely transport goods, etc. to intended destination* Ensure contents are properly secured in truck, flatbed or bucket to prevent damage/injury* Obtain signatures to confirm and complete deliveries* Assist in mapping driving routes* Stay on predetermined route and ensure timely transport and delivery* Communicate with dispatch as needed* Confirm that the contents of each shipment load match the manifest document* Perform inspections of your vehicle prior to and following each trip* Check weather conditions and road reports before departure* Always ensure your vehicle is kept clean* Maintain, log and service vehicle as needed (refuel, change oil, tire pressure, repairs, etc.)* Notify managers of any major maintenance or delivery issues encountered* Follow delivery schedule and rest at appropriate times* Adhere to company rules and regulations* Obey all applicable traffic laws and drive in according to the weather/road conditions* OSHA Safety compliance* Maintenance of appropriate paperwork* Pull orders, load and deliver* Timely delivery of orders* Transferring merchandise between stores**Minimum Driver Requirements*** Have a valid Driver License with proper endorsements in the applicants state of residence* No current driving record suspension or revocation* Approved Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) & Pre-Employment Background checks.* Ability to drive Manual Transmission VehiclesPhysical Requirements* Ability to push/pull 50 lbs* Ability to lift 50 lbs**Additional information:**Full TimeThe work requires moderate-heavy physical exertion & constant exposure to EXTREME TemperaturesExcellent benefit packageEOEE-Verify Participating Company**Qualifications****Skills****Required****Safety Compliance** *Advanced* **Manual Transmission Operation - 10/13/18 spee** *Advanced* **Preferred****Attention to Detail** *Advanced* **Behaviors****:****Motivations****:****Education****Experience****Licenses & Certifications**
