community by satisfying customer requests from receipt of request to the coordination and delivery of the product or service, to provide resident transportation as needed while ensuring safety.**Driver | Bus Driver | Chauffeur | Minimum Eligibility Requirements:****Must have a class B drivers license with a passenger indorsement**Must be at least 21 years of ageMust have a valid state drivers license with a 5-year safe driving record.Ability to obtain a Commercial Drivers License within specified timeframe after hire.1 year of professional driving experience in the operation of a bus or van used for transporting of clients.Previous experience working with seniors in a senior living environment preferred.CNA, or previous experience working with the elderly in a residential or long-term care setting preferred.Strong commitment to customer service and desire to exceed customer expectations.Must possess strong interpersonal communication skills.Proficiency in basic computer skills, including Word and Excel preferredAbility to read, comprehend, write, and speak English to communicate effectively with residents, families, guests, and other staff members.Strong organizational skills and ability to re-prioritize daily tasks, in order to accommodate fluctuating needs of the residents and the community.Ability to represent the community in a positive and residents and team members.Responsible for gathering information on local restaurants and entertainment venues.Responsible for making reservations and coordinating ticket purchases for residents.Coordinate dry cleaning or any other outside services that residents may need.Assist residents with services such as pet sitting, hanging pictures or other activities that would not be considered care giving.Ensures the entrance way and lobby of community are clean and free of any debris at all times.Support management team with special event / holiday planningAll other duties and services as assigned by Executive Director.**Driver | Bus Driver | Chauffeur | Driving**Provides valet parking for residents.Plan and coordinate parking assignments for valet and special event parkingResponsible for transporting residents to and from appointments, scheduled Community outings, and special events, in Community vehicles, according to transportation scheduleResponsible for assisting residents in and out of vehicles as needed, including loading, and unloading wheelchairs, walkers, and other assist devices.Concierge / Chauffer 2021-03Maintains Community vehicles in clean and orderly condition including washing, refueling, and inspecting and reporting any mechanical defects or malfunctions.Completes a thorough vehicle inspection check prior to vehicle operation reporting all discrepancies and following through with scheduling appropriate repairs.Reports any resident incidents or physical or behavioral concerns that occur during transport to appropriate Director immediately upon return.Completes transportation activity records in an accurate and timely manner.Assists with annual vehicle inspections and safety checks to ensure the vehicle meets operational standards.OtherAttends all required staff meetings and in-service training sessions.Upholds Residents Rights as defined by state regulations and by Company policy, at all times.Supports SELDOM lift/carry up to 45 pounds less than 10 feet when storing wheelchairs.Push/Pull: FREQUENTLY push/pull vehicle doors and straps to secure wheelchairs in place. SELDOM use 25 pounds force to push/pull wheelchairs into place in the van or to assist residents in/out of the van.Controls: FREQUENTLY use hand and foot controls on vehicles. SELDOM (3 times per week) use hydraulic wheelchair lift and lever to fold van chairs.Climb: OCCASIONALLY climb three steps in and out of vans.Balance: Within normal limits.Bend/Stoop: OCCASIONALLY bend/stoop assisting residents to enter/exit van and to store items in cargo space.Crouch: Worker will crouch when accessing folding mechanism for van chair 3 times per week. Worker may choose to crouch in lieu of stooping.Twist: OCCASIONAL twisting at the neck while driving vehicle.Kneel/Crawl: May be required when accessing folding mechanism for van chair roughly 3 times per week.Handle/Grasp: CONSTANT handle/grasp steering wheel, pen/pencil, wheelchairs, walkers, shopping bags and additional supplies.Fine Manipulation/Fingering: SELDOM when operating wheelchairs and van and when writing.Concierge / Chauffer 2021-03Feeling: Within normal limits.Reach: FREQUENT reaching between waist and chest level performed while driving, storing purchases, and assisting residents.
