Psychiatric
Nurse Practitioner
to join our team at
Cumberland County Jail
in
Portland, ME
.Responsibilities:Performs psychiatric examinations and evaluations, diagnoses, treatment, follow-up consultation and health education
Works closely with the BHD and/or BHPs in identifying appropriate treatment plans for at-risk patients, or as neededIntermittently attends morning huddle calls, when indicated and/or when there are high-risk patients that require multidisciplinary treatment planning and collaborationObtains patient histories, follows up with medication verification efforts, reviews pertinent medical history and develops patient care treatment plans, ensuring completeness and accuracy using the POMR formatProvides support in coordinating the activities of patient care and/or support staffParticipates in developing specific mental health policies and procedures, when indicatedQualifications:
