DriverJob Type Full-time Description Connecticut Foodshare is seeking full time CDL Driver/Warehouse Specialist (multiple positions) for our Wallingford and Bloomfield Facility with a Class A or Class B License. The team member will be responsible for deliveries and pick ups of Wallingford & Bloomfield campus food. Position will be assigned to the Bloomfield or Wallingford facility. Reports to the Director of Fleet Operations.Responsibilities:* Makes safety a priority and obeys all DOT and state laws and regulations* Performs pre-trip and post-trip inspections on electronic tablet* Maintains Hours of Service with electronic log* Loads and unloads trucks and trailers with electric pallet jack* Safely operates a 4,000 pound capacity lift gate* Assist in all warehouse functions as required including order selection and cleaning as needed* Contributes to a positive work environment with a commitment to social justice* Performs other duties as assigned by managementRequirements Education and Experience:* High School Diploma/GED* CT CDL Class A Preferred* CT CDL Class B Required* General knowledge of DOT and Connecticut laws and regulations as they apply to safe operation of trucks* Experience operating fork lifts, powered pallet jacks and other motorized and non-motorized warehouse equipmentRequirements:* Clearance on the Federal Safety Motor Carrier Administration (FSMCA) Clearinghouse* Safe driving record* Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds* Communicates effectively with managers and coworkersTo apply, please submit a resume and cover letter to Human Resources.Connecticut Foodshare is an Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer.Connecticut Foodshare maintains a drug-free workplace.
