DescriptionAmazon SCOT OIH (Optimal Inventory Health) team is looking for a talented software development engineer, who is passionate in solving actual problems in the supply chain. Our team is building scalable distributed systems on top of Native AWS based on Big Data to support the rapidly growing business of Amazon. The team owns the inventory disposition decisions, like markdown, deal, coupon, return, liquidation, etc. for millions of products to maximize long term free cash flow. You will work closely with senior engineers, scientists and business teams worldwide to develop advanced mathematical and economic models and algorithms. You will take end to end responsibility, utilize Amazons massive data, sophisticated algorithms and cloud computation infrastructure (AWS) and thousands of powerful machines, and make decisions with billion dollar impact to Amazons business. You will also become an expert in most sophisticated supply chain management in the world with deep understanding of Amazon retail business. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
