Whiddon College of Medicine in Mobile, Alabama is seeking a fulltime board certified Nephrology provider to lead the division at the Associate Professor/Professor level. Primary responsibilities will include expansion and further development of the division at USA Health. Additional responsibilities of the Chief include a combination of administrative, clinical, research and educational duties. The identified leader will lead our growing robust academic practice and promote the development of expertise in medical education, complex care, quality, and safety, and health service research.Clinical responsibilities will include teaching students and housestaff, patient care, and basic and/or clinical research. Faculty share weekend call and are assigned to clinical services based on activities such as research time, formal teaching at the COM undergraduate level, clinical educator role, etc.We are committed to attracting, developing, and retaining top talent in a market long recognized and revered as a leader in healthcare.
