Ages of Patients Served: Young Adult through Late Adult (18 - 60+) Nurse to Patient Ratios: 1:6 Core Staffing Plan: Variable staffing grid to include: Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Patient Care Technicians (PCTs), Nurse Interns (NIs). An RN assumes full responsibility for the patients on each team. Staffing Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Successful completion of a rhythm testRoles & ResponsibilitiesImplement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.QUALIFICATIONSBLS and ACLSNational Institutes of Health (NIH)Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.The ability to stand for extended periods.Strong technical skills.Knowledge of medical terminologyPassionate about patient careRequires a minimum of two years of current RN Med/Surg experience.
