Description

The

Territory Manager

is responsible for acquiring new business, successful maintenance and growth of existing business, and recovery of lost business.

Become the subject matter expert regarding the products and services offered by the companyUnderstanding of all stages within the sales cycleDevelop and maintain growth strategies for assigned territoryDevelop and maintain a new customer "dream" list for assigned territory with a strategic plan to win businessBecome the subject matter expert regarding the competitive landscape within assigned territory and learn what leverages M&D Distributors above other suppliersParticipate in trade shows, customer events, sales blitzes, and other community enriching opportunitiesFull adoption and utilization of Salesforce to manage/organize all sales activitiesPerform other duties as assigned by supervisor.Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred3 years of business-to-business sales within the automotive and/or transportation industryUnderstanding of diesel engine components preferredFluent in English and SpanishAbility to exercise judgement and to work independentlyMust demonstrate consistency, accuracy, and follow-throughAbility to move, lift, and carry objects up to 50lbsMust successfully complete pre-employment background and drug screeningMust possess a valid drivers licenseMust have a driving record that meets hiring eligibility set forth by our companyFosters good coworker citizenship in the workplace
