is seeking to hire a Trusts & Estates Paralegal with 5-8 years of experience in estate planning and trust administration to work in our Los Angeles (Westwood) office. The Trusts & Estates Paralegal will be responsible for day-to-day tasks related to estate planning and trust administration including document preparation and review, legal research, and communication with clients.Description:Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Preparation of accountings for both estates and trustsDrafting of estate planning documents, including wills, living trusts, irrevocable trusts and asset transfersAssistance with probate administration including probate petitions, assessor forms, statutory notices, creation of sub trusts, family settlement agreements, Rule 5.6 notices, and allocation of assetsPreparation of federal and state individual and fiduciary income tax returns, gift tax returns, and estate tax returnsServes as liaison between firm, clients, advisors, and beneficiariesCandidate Qualifications:5-8 years of experience in trusts & estates within a law firm environmentParalegal certificate required; B.A. or B.S. desiredProficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft Word and Excel; experience with WealthCounsel, Lackner, ProLaw, and NetDocs a plusNotary Public a plusExcellent mathematical skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsLegal research and technical writing skills, including proficiency with legal research toolsStrong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skillsAbility to work within deadlines and work on multiple tasks simultaneouslyDetail-oriented and highly organizedThis position is full-time.Job Requirements:Employee Status:
