This role will also be involved in the preparation and maintenance of basic reports; analyzes supplier capability; participates in make/buy studies and cost analysis. The Demand Planner will create integrated project plans and schedules for the supply team's capital and development projects. Supports the planning and coordination of new product introductions; assess the impact and support changes to overall production schedules. Manage scheduling based on customer demand, service levels, and inventory plan, while optimizing capacity. Perform responsible planning functions with limited supervision within a framework of standard policies and procedures requiring initiative, accuracy, and attention to detail, organizational skills, written and verbal communication skills and the ability to concurrently manage multiple tasks. Interface cross functionally with Sales, Operations, Logistics and our Customers.CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKSPrimary DutiesEffectively evaluate current material control standards, prepare, and maintain basic reports.Analyze supplier capability, participate in make/buy studies and cost analysis.Create integrated project plans and schedules for the supply team's capital and development projects.Support the planning and coordination of new product introductions and assess the impact and support changes to overall production schedules.Additional DutiesPTO backfill for production planners.Evaluate work centers and production operations for standard time reductions.Production analysis as directed.Required:1-3 years of successful Demand Planning/Production Planning experience.Fluency in SAP or similar ERP.Excellent oral and written communication skills to communicate with the team, peers, management, and external contacts.Working knowledge of personal computers and Microsoft Office Products, including Word, Project, and Excel.Demonstrate the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and negotiate to meet critical timelines.Demonstrate the ability to make critical decisions in conjunction with project stakeholders.FORMAL EDUCATION:Required: High School Diploma or EquivalentStrongly Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in relevant discipline (Business, Supply Chain, etc).Preferred:ASCM CPIM or CSCP certification(s).Salary range:$62,000.00 - $99,000.00
