link/button.Position Title: Postdoctoral Fellow (Murray Blackmore Lab)State: WIEmployment Status: Full TimePosition Status: RegularPosition Type: FacultyJob Family: FacultyPosition OverviewThe successful applicant will lead and execute research projects devoted to enhancing repair of the central nervous system with a focus on spinal injury. This will involve experimental procedures including animal surgeries, histology, and leading-edge molecular analyses in addition to supervising technical staff and students working in support of the project. The successful applicant will also analyze data, present findings at research conferences, and prepare manuscripts to disseminate findings.Duties and ResponsibilitiesDesign and execute experiments that explore molecular interventions to improve axon repair after spinal injury.Train and supervise research staff and students working in support of this individual’s project.Analyze experimental data.Prepare research presentations and peer-reviewed manuscripts to disseminate findings.Stay current on the latest research developments and participate in discussions to optimize future research directions.Required Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesMust have experience with at least one of the following: molecular biology (e.g. RNA-Seq, Single Cell Seq), small animal surgeries, or rodent behavioral testing.
