JOB SUMMARYThe Associate Worship Pastor will most often be the primary worship leader for the weekend services at the central campus or co-lead the weekend services with the worship pastor. They may also assist with leading at satellite campuses. They will work closely with leadership to continue to implement and further develop the philosophical and practical standards of the worship ministry. The associate worship pastor will need to be passionate about developing the next generation of worship leaders in order to support the mission and vision of CBC as campus expansion accelerates.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Plan, coordinate, and lead weekend services on Central campus and other campuses as needed.Participate in creative meetings.Lead worship for gatherings as assigned, including but not limited to: weekend gatherings, student and college gatherings, funerals, monthly staff worship meetings (P&P), and special events as needed.Attend and contribute to meetings for weekend services, special events, etc.Develop thoughtful worship sets for gatherings.Develop the next generation of worship leaders & empower them to lead.Assist with weekly satellite campus and central campus tasks.Train/develop team members and volunteers.Host guest artists.Coordinate with other CBC ministries to support their events.Other duties as assigned.COMPETENCIESMusical and vocal ability to lead worship.Ability to sing in Spanish and English.Strong communication skills in the English language (verbal and written).Ability to maintain professional relationships.Strong attention to detail.Intermediate computer skills using applications such as Ableton, Logic Pro, Pro Tools, etc.Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, work independently, multitask, and produce results in a high-stress environment.Excellent developer of people with experience developing staff and volunteers.A thoughtful leader who makes decisions that reflect the vision and values of the organization.POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORKThis is a full-time position (40 hrs). Days and hours of operation are scheduled any time Monday - Sunday. Working weekends and evenings will be required as job duties demand. This role may be asked to travel in and out of town for conferences, camps, etc.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to do the following:Have good or corrected vision as well as effective peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.Have good manual dexterity and be able to use repetitive motion of the hands and arms.Remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time.Move efficiently on stage for 20 minutes to 1 hour.Stand for an extended period of time.Move about inside the office and storage rooms, carrying equipment up to 90 lbs.Frequently and effectively communicate in both written and verbal form.Work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEHigh school diploma or GED (required).5 or more years leading as primary worship leader (multi-site preferred).5 or more years as a leader developing teams.Songwriting ability (preferred).Proficiency in playing acoustic guitar or piano (preferred).Ability to sing in Spanish (fluency not required).WORK ENVIRONMENTDuties are performed in a variety of settings to include outdoor, office, and technical settings where the work and general environment may be fast-paced and hectic at times. Therefore, it is essential that the employee can effectively handle the normal anxieties associated with the job and manage multiple projects in a service-oriented environment.
