It also earns top-of-field results: a 2011 Harvard study found that the program more than doubles a student's chance of enrolling in a four-year college, and our students are four times more likely to become college graduates than their low-income peers.College Possible has a budget of $24 million, more than 140 full-time employees and more than 270 AmeriCorps and VISTA service members. We're joining forces with colleges to achieve a transformational impact: our goal is to serve more than 100,000 students annually and make a significant contribution to closing the degree divide.Available AmeriCorpsVISTA ProjectsProgram SupportThis VISTA will establish clear processes for data collection, entry and reporting,with a strong focus on data visualization. This position will help College Possible connect data visualization to a strong backend structure where data is stored in a database and accurately represented. It includes documenting, refining, and training around the data objects, associations and rules to make data informed decisions. Data modeling is the process of creating a simplified diagram of a software system and the data elements it contains, using text and symbols to represent the data and how it flows. This VISTA will draft data ecosystem documentation, overviews the data we are collecting, where data is being collected and where the data should be stored. The utilization of improved data practices to drive programmatic improvements and support of fundraising will allow students to be more effectively served and to help end cyclical poverty through education as well as create processes and procedure documents that can be used by staff to support future data entry (training, etc.).Required Skills:Data analysis/researchFamiliarity with Salesforces or donor databasesWritten communicationsComfortable with ambiguity and flexibilityWilling to learnCultural competenceTeam-orientedAbility to work autonomously as well as collaboratively
