About the Team:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join our dynamic team working on the development of Linux-based operating systems for Vizio TVs. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining embedded software solutions to enhance the performance and functionality of our smart TVs.What You Will Do:Design, develop, and maintain embedded software solutions for TVs based on Linux operating systems.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define software requirements and specifications.Integrate and test software components on embedded hardware platforms to ensure seamless operation.Troubleshoot and resolve software-related issues during the development and testing phases.Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure code quality, adherence to coding standards, and optimal performance.Implement and maintain unit tests and automated testing procedures.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management team, software developers, and QA engineers, to achieve project goals.Create and maintain technical documentation for software architecture, design, and implementation.About You:Qualifications:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.Proven experience as an Embedded Software Engineer with a focus on Linux-based systems.Hands-on experience with Trusted Execution Environment (TEE) platforms such as ARM TrustZone or Intel SGX and experience in developing applications for TEE within the Linux ecosystem.Strong proficiency in C/C++ and experience in Python and Bash.Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.Strong communication and collaboration skills.Results-oriented, have a sense of ownership, urgency, and drive.Preferred Skills:Understanding of video and audio processing on embedded systems.Experience in developing TA (Trusted Applications) in OP-TEE.Familiarity with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber or Behave.Experience in developing Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) test cases for Linux-based systems.Proficiency in utilizing Google Test for C++ codebase testing.Experience with Agile, Jenkins, and Version Control tools.If you are passionate about embedded software development, Linux systems, and the exciting world of smart TVs, we invite you to join our team and contribute to the innovation and success of Vizio products.About VIZIO:We are Beautifully Simple.Headquartered in Irvine, California, VIZIO is a leading HDTV brand in America and the #1 Sound Bar Brand in America.
