Job Requisition ID #24WD79516Position OverviewAt Autodesk, the Enterprise Data Engineering team is important to driving business growth and improving operational efficiency through innovative data solutions and insights. We are looking for a Senior Principal Software Engineer with deep technical expertise and business domain knowledge in Go-To-Market (GTM) enterprise systems, sales, finance, and customer master data domains.You will report to the Director of Data Engineering in our Enterprise Systems & Experience (ESE) IT organization. You'll lead the delivery of advanced GTM planning solutions and multiple data initiatives, working with a globally distributed, experienced team to transform Autodesk's business processes.As we collaborate across departments, you'll partner closely with Product Managers in the Data Product & Insight domain to identify high impact use cases, design innovative data products, and deliver actionable insights. Your role will define and optimize Autodesk's approach for GTM planning, account hierarchy, and customer segmentation models.Location:
San Francisco, or remote in the United States.ResponsibilitiesWork with multiple scrum teams (each has 7-9 engineers)Lead collaboration with scrum teams in the US, India, and SingaporeLead the development cycle of complex projects and accomplish the goalsParticipate in product discovery with Product Managers, Users, and ArchitectsLead in solution design, oversee the delivery of end-to-end solution implementationExperience with sales planning, forecasting, and customer hierarchy, segmentation domainsIdentify opportunities for improving operational efficiency and increasing business revenueLead, develop, test, and release data science models to create insights from enterprise system dataWork closely with business owners, users, product managers, program managers, architects, and developers to translate needs into engineering solutionsCommunicate updates to stakeholders regarding requirements clarification, solution/planning review, and status/progress sharingDesign, implement, test, and deliver data engineering products/components/services strategicallyGuide implementation of long-term technical strategy for data engineering tools and processesMentor & coach other engineers, applying best practices and promoting achievements to external teamsMinimum QualificationsBS or higher in computer science or related technical discipline10+ years of hands-on software and data engineering development experience in enterprise applications and systemsExcellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsBroader knowledge in software architecture conceptsExperience with data architecture and data platform designsDeep knowledge in data modeling, entity relationship, and query analysis optimizationExpertise in Python, Snowflake, SQL, and DBTExpert in using AWS with hands-on project experienceExperience designing solutions for sales planning, account hierarchy, and customer segmentationExperience building data science and ML models for business insightsStrong competence in driving consensus across teamsAbility to implement complex enterprise system solutions independentlyExcellent team player with experience working across disciplinesStrong communication skills, both verbal and writtenExperience in mentoring and coaching developersKnowledge of Agile processesAbility to work under pressure and embrace changesWillingness to participate in professional development activitiesPreferred QualificationsHands-on experience delivering GTM enterprise solutionsDomain knowledge in GTM planning and customer segmentationExperience building and delivering Gen AI capabilitiesKnowledge in data science and machine learningIdeal CandidateTechnical and Business Expertise: Experience in GTM enterprise systems, sales, finance, and customer dataLeadership and Collaboration: Ability to lead global teamsExperience with Innovation: Passion for transforming data into actionable business insightsAbout AutodeskWelcome to Autodesk!
