We have long been associated with many of the most significant advances in eye health, and we believe we are well positioned to continue leading the advancement of eye health in the future.The Ocular District Manager is responsible for the leadership and direction of sales and in-field marketing activity for B+L’s Pharmaceutical brands. The Ocular District Manager oversees a team of 8-11 Territory Managers. Duties include hiring, training, developing, evaluation/retention of key talent, and in-field customer account targeting promotional activity. The Ocular District Manager plays a key role in the development, implementation, and execution of district strategies through effective cross-functional collaboration with teams including Marketing, Training, Human Resources, Medical Affairs, and Payer Access teams to deliver on quarterly/annual sales goals.Primary ResponsibilitiesDirect management/supervision, coaching, training and development of Territory ManagersAttainment of district sales goals and key performance metrics such as number of sales calls per day call plan adherence, etc.Fosters a winning culture exemplified by positive, inclusive, and diverse contributorsFace to face field time with direct reports and customers to mentor, develop, and drive sales resultsAllocation of resources and implementation such as educational budgets, samples, etc.Analysis, assessment, and development of district business plan that includes customer identification, prioritization, competitive analysis, success requirements, implementation plans, current and future trends, etc.Tracks appropriate Lead/Lag measures to set strategy with Territory ManagersProvides feedback to organization on field needs as well as competitive market threats/opportunitiesWorks cross functionally with peers, home office, and field employeesContinuously improves knowledge of B+L products, competitive products, and management skills through ongoing home study and participation in company sponsored/approved training programsReviews and audits Territory Manager expense reportsOversees district implementation and monitors adherence to compliance policies and proceduresRole QualificationsBA/BS in Business or Marketing or related field is required10+ years of sales and/or management experience in the healthcare market of successfully documented performance is requiredComputer (Microsoft), Written/Verbal communication, Analytical Skills is requiredDriving, Valid driver's license to travel to customer locations/or other method of transportation to perform duties (i.e. co-travels, account calls) is requiredAbility to travel (overnight) up to 75% with occasional weekend conference attendance is requiredPrior sales management expertise of 2-3 years in healthcare is strongly preferredExperience in healthcare specific to ophthalmic industry is preferredMBA or advanced degree is preferredAs required by California's Salary Transparency Law, Bausch + Lomb provides a good faith minimum and maximum salary range of compensation for roles that can or will be performed in California. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location.
