The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry work and proven leadership abilities. As a Carpenter Superintendent, you will be responsible for overseeing all carpentry activities, managing a team of carpenters, and ensuring that projects are completed to high standards of quality and safety.POSITION RESPONSIBILITIESSupervise and coordinate carpentry work, including framing, finishing, and installation of wood structureInterpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to plan and execute carpentry projects. Oversee project staff including Craft Superintendents, Foreman, Field Engineers, and other support staff.Manage construction operations for Heavy Civil, Bridge, and Marine project operations including pile driving, concrete formwork, barge handling, and crane operations.Establish work schedules and ensure appropriate manpower is available for the project.Perform special projects and complete all other duties as assigned or requested for the general support of the organization.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSProven experience as a Carpenter Superintendent or similar role in the construction industryExtensive knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools, and materialsStrong leadership and communication skillsAbility to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specificationsExcellent organizational and time management abilitiesOSHA certification and knowledge of safety regulationsProficiently navigate and operate computers and tablets.Availability and willingness to work weekends and night shifts per business needs.Availability and willingness to work out of town and travel to project locations.WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOUInclusive Medical, Dental, Vision, Accident, Disability, and Illness insuranceHealth Savings Account contribution of up to $1,000 per year401(k) retirement savings program with a company matchEmployee Assistance Program including discounts with major vendors & productsMental and physical wellness programsCareer advancement opportunities with a stable well-established organizationNecessary AttributesUnderstand construction safety standards and productively work safely.Able to follow directions.Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.Team player with strong interpersonal skillsDedicated and hard workingWilling to work out of town and travel to project locations.Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.Drug Free.WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDSCapable of working outside or on the water in variable climates, traversing large active construction sites, and working around welding, cutting, grinding, marine vessels, heavy equipment, cranes, dirt, dust, noise, and vibrations. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands, arms, shoulders, legs, reach with hands and arms and verbally communicate clearly. The employee is sometimes required to climb or balance.
