What you will do:
Directly supervise the billing & collections teams, supporting the team and driving the team’s growth and scaleManage accounts receivable activities to ensure billing accuracy and reduce DSO, past due balance, and unapplied payments & CMsEnsure the accuracy of payments application and monitor and manage any unapplied paymentsMonitor accounts receivable aging and prepare, analyze, and communicate related reports with measurable metricsDrive continuous improvement in system usage/capabilities and processes for billing and collections, with a special focus on increasing automationPrepare monthly/quarterly collection forecasts and closely monitor and perform against collection targetsDevelop metrics to track billing and collection teams’ performanceDevelop a set of enhanced reports for actuals and forecasts to support management in planningDirect and coordinate customer service activities, including customer inquiries and communications through calls and emailsAnalyze and assess collection issues and determines course of action for resolutionImplement best practices and develop, execute, and enforce AR policies and proceduresWork closely with other members of the Finance team on monthly reconciliation and review data for irregularities and errors on a regular basisAssist with external financial audits and other due diligence and accounting requestsWhat you will bring to Coupa:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related fields8-10 years’ experience in billing and collectionsAccounting knowledge in billing and collections areasStrong management and decision-making skills and ability to resolve conflicts.Experience with NetSuite requiredStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsHighly organized and strong attention to detailExperience in evaluating processes and using data to make process design changes and improvementsStrong people management skills with proven ability to develop team members and lead by exampleStrong interpersonal and communication skills, including excellent written, oral, and presentation skills, and ability to work well under pressure and interact at all levelsAdvanced computer skills especially in Microsoft Excel
