Work with an amazing team of 20 adult and pediatric perfusionists in a practice that spans both academic and community hospital settings.University of Minnesota Physicians is seeking a Pediatric Perfusionist to join our growing practice in the Twin Cities. We have a great team, and supportive and collegial surgeons that make our work even more enjoyable!Responsibilities
Case coverage for 3+ surgeons primarily at our Children’s Hospital and University of Minnesota Medical CenterPredominantly pediatric bypass cases (including common to complex congenital cases, adult congenital, heart transplants, and VADs) - Annually 150+ cases, Standby cases 30+ECMO initiation, troubleshooting, and transportVAD Support (Berlin Heart, CentriMag, Heartmate 3)We train future Perfusionists by clinically precepting students from various programs including UNMC and Vanderbilt among othersPosition Requirements
Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited Cardiovascular Perfusion Technology ProgramCertification by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion
