Essential Duties & Responsibilities

This position requires the individual to utilize modern process control system technologies to design and implement strategies that successfully help our customers meet their operating objectives. This involves knowledge of appropriate industry standards and best practices and an understanding the driving principles of operator performance.

The position also requires driving to customer's industrial sites. Individuals must be capable of, and diligent about, compliance with safety rules and regulations in these environments. Attention to detail and awareness of potential safety hazards is expected at all times. Maturity and sound judgment are essential to working in this environment.This job is demanding in terms of knowledge, skills, commitment, and all other job-related qualifications. Urgency and pressure for prompt, accurate results are routine. It requires the handling of multiple tasks with many unexpected interruptions. The job calls for the responsiveness and energy to work long hours and cover a wide scope without letting up on the pace. While training in certain, specific equipment is offered, the successful candidate must be diligent in learning on their own from time to time.Regular and predictable attendance is essential for this position.Advise customers regarding relevant industry standards, guidelines, and regulations related to the alarm management lifecycle.Collaborate closely with customer's multifunctional teams to understand process dynamics, operational requirements, safety criticalities to develop an effective and functional alarming philosophy.Lead and facilitate alarm rationalization workshops with cross-functional teams to systematically review, prioritize, and optimize alarm settings based on industry best practices and standards.Configure and optimize alarm management systems to implement rationalized alarm settings and ensure seamless integration with control systems.Assist customers in developing and selecting tools for continuous alarm performance monitoring and analysis.Documentation and reporting: develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of alarm rationalization procedures and activities. Generate regular reports to communicate key performance indicators and progress to stakeholders.Assist in sales and marketing activities as a subject matter expert. Act as a partner to the sales team by working directly with them and the customer to develop project scope of work and business relationships.Drive alarm-based projects from award, through execution, and to completion. Assist project managers with technical activities related to the success of alarm projects.Ability to drive a company-provided vehicle, if assigned.Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.Work collaboratively with development staff and support staff to maintain thorough knowledge of product capabilities, and to ensure that all communications between John H. Carter Co., Inc. and its stakeholders are precise.
