About the jobTI’s legal department is searching for an experienced Patent Attorney who has electrical engineering knowledge and experience with semiconductor manufacturing or processor architecture to join our legal team in Dallas, Texas.Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:Solicit disclosures of inventions and assist inventors in filing timely and accurate disclosuresDetermine patent application filing prioritiesProvide leadership to technical disclosure selection processesWrite and prosecute US and non-US patent applicationsAnalyze issued patentsProvide counsel to business groups on intellectual property mattersProtect TI intellectual property worldwideAssure TI realizes maximum return on TI’s intellectual property investmentMinimum Requirements:Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical EngineeringA law degree is required4+ years’ patent prosecution experienceMust be registered as a patent attorney with the U.S. Patent and Trademark OfficeMust be admitted in good standing with a state legal barPatent application and prosecution experience is requiredPreferred Qualifications:3+ years’ experience as an engineer/scientist in a technical roleExperience and familiarity with processor architectures, digital signal processing, machine learning, digital communications, or integrated circuit design is desiredWhy TI?Engineer your future.
