Music Teacher Grades 1-5, 6-8, and High School ChoirDescription:The Denver Waldorf School is an urban Waldorf school in the heart of Denver near the Rocky Mountains. Founded in 1974, the school enrolls approximately 300 students in pre-K through Grade 12. The school is an accredited member of the Association of Waldorf Schools of North America (AWSNA) and the Association of Colorado Independent Schools (ACIS). We are committed to recognizing and developing the whole human being in an inclusive and engaging environment.Music Teacher:The Denver Waldorf School (DWS) is seeking a qualified candidate to join our faculty and staff as a Music Teacher. The Music Teacher will teach and help guide the 1st through 8th grade Waldorf music curriculum alongside the strings and orchestra teachers. In addition, the Music Teacher leads the High School Choir twice per week.Requirements:An enthusiasm for and commitment to teaching a Waldorf curriculum.Previous teaching experience in general music classrooms, singing, and choral direction.Ability to work well in a collegial setting.Ability to communicate clearly and regularly with parents, while developing strong parent partnerships.A growing relationship to Anthroposophy.Full suite of health insurance, life insurance, and retirement plans are available and vary by employment status.
