The Project Engineer will provide technical engineering information to project supervision and crafts to ensure construction work complies with all engineering standards, codes and specifications. Assists the Project Manager and Management Team in managing all aspects of a construction project including the financial administration and cost reporting activities.Job Description
Review contract and specifications in its entiretyAssist Project Manager, Project Superintendent and Project Engineer as requiredAssist with all schedule preparations and updatesAssist with quantity reporting, project costs and forecastingObtain pricing from subcontractors and vendors to include charge ordersRequisition equipment and material deliveries as requiredCoordinate with subcontractors, suppliers and workforce to resolve project challenges and conflictsAssist with monthly billing, cash flow projections, and change order processingManage document control to include submittal schedules, contract documents, project record drawings, etc.Review

daily reports for accuracyComply with notice requirements such as inspections, survey staking, joint measurements with owner and/or engineer, utility locations and adjustments, testing, claims, etc.Based on quantity takeoffs, manages the ordering of materials needed to successfully execute the project.Issue correspondence to subcontractors and vendors when revised plan and/or specifications affects products or servicesAssist with project closeoutPerform additional assignments per the Project Manager’s directionJob Requirements:
B.S. in Civil Engineering with emphasis in Construction Engineering and Management (CEM)Excellent computer skills including spreadsheet analysis and broad technical skillThorough understanding of cost analysis & estimating with HCSS products or similarThorough knowledge of CPM scheduling and extensive experience with Primavera productsQualifications:
4 year degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.3-5 years of experience in similar role. Bridge construction experience preferred.
