Excellent Law Firm, focused on protecting consumers and businesses.Guy Harvey Holman, PLLC, is a Bankruptcy debtors’ defense firm based in Dallas, Texas, focused on defending consumers and small businesses against various debt collection actions across the state.We are seeking a passionate, dedicated, and high performing Bankruptcy Paralegal/ Specialist who wants to join our dynamic yet esteemed environment. In this role, you will assist the attorneys with bankruptcy cases from intake to discharge and interact daily with our experienced attorneys, executive team, and clients. The duties of this role, include but not limited to:Perform legal research.Manage bankruptcy cases from start to finish.Assist with the filing of bankruptcy petitions and other pleadings as needed.Perform UCC searches, credit report pulls and other background searches.E-filing experience a plus, but not necessary.Communicate with clients, creditors, trustees, and other interested parties regarding case issues.Collate information and exhibits for various pleadings and notices.Review and edit documents and exhibits, charts, and diagrams.Law firm experience preferred but not required.Qualifications:Paralegal Certification is a plus!1+ years’ experience working in bankruptcy or related fields such as consumer litigation, loan underwriting, banking or accounting.Excellent verbal communication skills and professional phone etiquette.Strong administrative and organizational skills; must be a self-starter.Strong knowledge and computer skills of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Adobe and Pacer/ECF filing is essential.Excellent oral and written communication skills and able to interact effectively with staff, attorneys, clients, courts, and other professionals required.Reliable and punctual with a strong sense of responsibility.Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.Team player with ability to work independently, prioritize and multi-task.
