We specialize in Film & Event Production, Talent Management, Creative Strategy, and Digital Media.POSITION DESCRIPTIONThe Controller is responsible for overseeing all accounting and financial operations of Redrock Entertainment's multiple entities. This includes managing the finance & accounting teams, maintaining financial records, preparing reports and financial statements, managing cash flow, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations across standalone and consolidated financials, driving process improvements, and collaborating cross-functionally.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESFinance and Accounting Management:Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the finance & accounting teamsEnsure accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions for each entityMaintain and enforce proper accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls for standalone and consolidated processesManage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and other accounting functions across entitiesProduction Accounting Oversight:Supervise and manage the outsourced production accounting teamReview and approve production budgets, cost reports, and financial settlementsEnsure proper coding, authorization, and documentation of production costsMonitor spending against approved budgets and analyze variancesPayroll Administration:Oversee all payroll processes including timekeeping, processing, and reportingEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and tax lawsManage payroll systems, third-party vendors, and internal payroll staffFinancial Reporting and Analysis:Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP for each entity and consolidated financialsAnalyze financial data and prepare ad-hoc reports as needed for standalone and consolidated performanceConduct budget preparation and variance analysis at the project, entity, and consolidated levelsProvide financial analysis and insights to support business decisions across entitiesCash Flow Management:Forecast, monitor, and manage cash flow to ensure adequate liquidity for each entity and consolidated operationsOversee cash receipts, disbursements, and bank reconciliations across entitiesCompliance and Risk Management:Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and tax laws for each entity and consolidated operationsOversee the annual audit process and liaise with external auditors for standalone and consolidated audits (when applicable)Identify and mitigate financial risks across entitiesImplement and maintain effective internal controls for standalone and consolidated processesProcess Improvements:Continuously evaluate and improve accounting processes, systems, and internal controlsIdentify opportunities to streamline operations, increase efficiency, and reduce costsImplement new technologies and automation to enhance financial processesDevelop and deliver training programs to ensure consistent application of processesCross-Functional Collaboration:Work closely with other departments, such as operations, production, IT, and marketing, to align financial goals and strategiesProvide financial guidance and support to cross-functional teams and projectsCollaborate with stakeholders to develop financial models and forecasts for new initiativesParticipate in strategic planning and decision-making processesTeam Management:Recruit, train, and supervise accounting staff for entity-level and consolidated operationsFoster a positive and productive work environmentProvide guidance and support to team members across entitiesQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related fieldCPA certification preferredMinimum of 5 years of experience in a senior accounting or finance role, including multi-entity experienceMinimum of 2 years of accounting experience in an Entertainment Production and/or Creator environmentProduction Accounting knowledge strongly preferredExtensive knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and financial analysis for standalone and consolidated operationsPayroll experience required - Paylocity and ADP would be a bonusStrong analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement skillsExcellent communication, collaboration, and leadership abilitiesExperience with Oracle workspace preferredExperience with QBO, Bill.com, Paylocity, ADP, AirTable, preferredAt Redrock Entertainment, we truly believe our success is achieved by the strength and heart of our people.
