The School of Public Health (SPH) at the University of Memphis (UofM) invites applications for an Assistant/Associate Professor of Teaching position in Social and Behavioral Sciences (SBS). This is a full-time, 12-month non-tenure track position with an anticipated start date of Fall 2024. This position presents an exciting opportunity to join a vibrant academic community committed to advancing public health research, education, and community engagement.Duties and Responsibilities:Teach undergraduate- and/or graduate-level courses in Social and Behavioral Sciences and Urban Health;Advise and mentor undergraduate and graduate students in the Division and the SPH;Serve on committees to further develop and enhance the Division and the SPH;Provide support to the Division and SPH by providing leadership in a service and/or administrative roles.Minimum Position Qualifications:

Candidates for this position must hold a relevant doctoral degree (PhD or DPH) in public health or a related discipline and meet academic requirements for consideration as an Assistant/Associate Professor. Rank will be determined based on the candidate’s qualifications. A research record is not required, but the candidate will be encouraged to have a research portfolio.Special Conditions:

This is a limited funded position.

Candidates should have: (1) a record of teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels in public health or a related discipline; and (2) strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with colleagues and students from diverse backgrounds.Posting Date:
