Inova Fairfax Hospital is looking for experienced Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) for our Adult Emergency Department!
This is a full-time, midshift position
(11am-11pm)

An Inova Licensed Practical Nurse:
Provides direct patient care utilizing the nursing process under the supervision of a registered professional nurse, an advanced practice provider, or licensed physician.
Conduct all patient care in a patient and family-centered manner.
Use an integrated approach toward patient outcomes.
Utilize standards, guidelines, and pathways for care delivery.
Responsibilities include:
Collaborates with materials management to ensure appropriate stock and minimize outdated stock.
Administers prescribed medications, therapies, and treatments.
Assists with patient education and discharge planning.
Demonstrates correct stabilization and immobilization of spine.
Collects patient specimens following department/facility policies and procedures.
Maintains inventory of equipment and supplies to optimize delivery of patient care and treatment.
Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited LPN school
One year of ED LPN experience strongly preferred
Eligible for licensing in the commonwealth of Virginia as an LPN
BLS certification from the American Heart Association
