We're seeking enthusiastic, dedicated, and hard-working individuals to become our Ambassadors.What's in Store for You:As a Howl-O-Scream Costume Specialist, you'll immerse yourself in a range of creative and thrilling responsibilities, ensuring our guests experience the magic and terror of the event. Here's what you'll do:Design, create, and maintain costumes that bring our Howl-O-Scream characters to life.Collaborate with the creative and production teams to ensure costumes meet the highest standards of quality and scariness.Participate in exclusive employee-only events like ride nights and special previews.Assist performers with costume fittings and quick changes to ensure seamless performances.Join an award-winning Scare-Event and contribute to its unforgettable experience.Build lasting connections within the SeaWorld Entertainment Community.Coordinate and instruct the cleaning, care, and maintenance of costumes, including repairs.Maintain the costuming integrity of assigned shows and productions.Maintain cleanliness, safety, and quality standards through all assigned tasks.Construct new costumes.Assist with the install and strike of assigned festivals and shows.Ensure cleanliness and organization of costuming areas, stocking adequate inventory and repair materials.Assist performers with dressing needs and ensure costumes are properly pre-set and post-set during shows.Attend and assist with dress rehearsals and onstage approvals when required.Communicate costume character needs and updates with management and staff to ensure costumes are in top quality condition.Assist with Opening and Closing duties in the Costume Shop.Assist with Entertainment activities and special events in other facilities as needed.Perform other duties as assigned based on business need.Compensation:
17.00 USD HourlyAvailability:Must have flexible availability every week Thursdays through Sundays, throughout the scheduled dates of the event (Sept. 27 - Nov. 2).What it takes to succeed:At least 18 years old.Have a High School Diploma or the equivalent.Minimum 2 years experience with costume construction, repair, or maintenance of costumes and/or wardrobe items.Able to work in an environment with atmospheric effects (fog, smoke, haze, mist, bubbles, snow, scents, etc.).Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends/holidays.Working knowledge of basic computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Office, and Excel.Strong written/verbal communication skills; able to read, write, and speak English.Able to handle multiple tasks under high pressure.Be team-oriented with a kid-siderate attitude.Excellent organizational skills; experience with project management a plus.Ability to accept performance feedback and adapt accordingly.Ability to troubleshoot mechanical problems.Excellent hand and industrial machine sewing skills.Construction and/or costume design abilities preferred.Ability to follow specific instructions and teach others based on needs.Experience with or willingness to learn airbrush techniques and designs.Experience with or willingness to learn wig care and maintenance.Sewing skills needed to perform costume alterations, construction, and replace zippers and snaps.Theme park experience a plus.What else is important:Able to lift, push, and pull a maximum of 25 lbs. several times throughout a scheduled shift.Able to stand, sit, lie down, squat, and bend repeatedly throughout the day.Able to climb two flights of stairs multiple times a day.If offered an interview, you will be required to bring a sample portfolio of your work to the interview.The perks of the position:
