Responsible for designing, developing, and deploying compelling and visually appealing Business Intelligence (BI) dashboards and reports, as well as collaborating with other teams to integrate systems and data sources. Should have a background in data and business analysis, as well as experience with BI technologies and data warehouse design and also have strong SQL skills, analytical abilities, and problem-solving aptitude.What You'll Do:Translates business needs to technical specifications.Designs, builds and deploys BI solutions (e.g. reporting tools)Maintains and supports data analytics platforms (e.g. MicroStrategy)Creates tools to store data (e.g. OLAP cubes)Conducts unit testing and troubleshooting.Evaluates and improves existing BI systems.Collaborates with teams to integrate systems.Develops and executes database queries and conduct analyses.Creates visualizations and reports for requested projects.Develops and updates technical documentation.Performs other duties as assigned.What You'll Need:Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field and 3 years of related experience, orMaster’s degree in computer science or related field and 2 years of related experience, orIn lieu of education, 7 years of relevant experience.What You'll Bring:Proven experience as a BI Developer or Data ScientistIn-depth understanding of database management systems, online analytical processing (OLAP) and ETL (Extract, transform, load) frameworkFamiliarity with BI technologies (e.g. Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, Oracle BI)Knowledge of SQL queries, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)Proven abilities to take initiative and be innovativeAnalytical mind with a problem-solving aptitudeWhat We Prefer:Master’s degree in computer scienceTransportation industry experience is preferredBackground in data warehouse design (e.g. dimensional modeling) and data miningWhat We're Looking ForAt HNTB, you can create a career that is meaningful to you while building communities that matter to all of us. In lieu of education, 7 years of relevant experience.

What You'll Bring:Proven experience as a BI Developer or Data Scientist

In-depth understanding of database management systems, online analytical processing (OLAP) and ETL (Extract, transform, load) framework

Familiarity with BI technologies (e.g. Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, Oracle BI)

Knowledge of SQL queries, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)

Proven abilities to take initiative and be innovative

Analytical mind with a problem-solving aptitude

What We Prefer:Master’s degree in computer science

Transportation industry experience is preferred

Background in data warehouse design (e.g. dimensional modeling) and data mining

Consulting experience
