Strong candidates will embody the Catholic principles and Xaverian values that guide our institution to help foster a supportive and inclusive campus environment.Position Overview and Responsibilities:St. John’s seeks a full-time High School Spanish teacher for the 2024-2025 school year to teach five sections. Classes meet five times within a seven-day rotating schedule. We seek a teacher who promotes curiosity and inquiry among students, engages all learners, uses technology as a vehicle for learning gains, and works with students to connect content to the real world in the classroom setting.Position Competencies:

Bachelor’s degree in Spanish or related field preferred. Must demonstrate a high proficiency in Spanish.Previous Spanish teaching experience in high school or middle school is preferred.Physical Requirements:Standing/sitting for long periods of time. Must be capable of adapting to frequent changes in position throughout the workday. Hearing and speaking to exchange information in person or on the telephone. Use of hands and fingers for manipulation, and using computer keyboard, educational tools, play equipment, and perform first aid and CPR. Specific vision abilities required include close vision and distance vision.Language/Languages:
