The
Shift Leader
ensures proper shift flow without the direct interaction of the General Manager. The Shift Leader is the second in command after management and is considered a back-up manager in case of emergency. The Shift Leader supervises the shift from start to finish, ensuring that the team upholds Roti’s high hospitality service and operational standards. The Shift Leader has a solid understanding of the staff’s strengths and weaknesses and is capable of establishing solid working relationships with teammates. Additionally, ensures restaurant equipment is properly maintained and safely operated.Ensures compliance with Health, Fire, Labor Department, and local municipalities.Any other tasks as assigned.Here’s who we’re looking for:Must be confident and assertive in order to effectively demonstrate leadership skills and communicate responsibilities to the rest of the team.Attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.Strong organizational, administrative, and leadership skills.Passionate about the company so that work is fun and the team is inspired.Strong knowledge of menu, recipes, and ingredients!Able to anticipate and solve problems.Manager State Food Safety and Allergen certified! Food Safety is a priority at Roti.Certified on every station and able to train other team members.Someone who has a knack for service - VIBE is in our DNA!Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and ensure the growth of Roti as a company.Must have a positive attitude and ethics that support Roti’s values and culture!Must have excellent hospitality & communication skills.Previous restaurant management experience is preferred.Experience with cash handling safety procedures and closing is a plus.Ability to stand/walk for an entire shift (up to 35.0 hours/week).
