About the Hospital:
Join our 380-bed hospital that proudly handles approximately 1,800 deliveries each year.
Our facility includes a state-of-the-art Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) with 30 beds, dedicated to providing exceptional care for critically ill and premature infants.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to join our Level III NICU team. In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering advanced care to our neonatal patients, working closely with a collaborative healthcare team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our youngest patients.
Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive assessments and management of neonates in the NICU.
Diagnose and treat a variety of neonatal conditions, including but not limited to respiratory disorders and infections.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to create and implement individualized care plans.
Perform necessary procedures within your scope of practice, such as intubation and line placement.
Educate families on their newborn's health, treatment plans, and care protocols.
Engage in quality improvement activities and contribute to clinical research initiatives.
Qualifications:
Education:
Master’s degree in Nursing with a specialization in Neonatal Nursing.
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) or a similar environment.
Licensure:
Arizona RN license preferred, but not required; NNP certification from an accredited organization.
Skills:
Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication, and the ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment.
Work Schedule:
Shifts:
Full-time, 18-hour shifts from 2 PM to 8 AM.
Monthly Workload:
Approximately 9-10 shifts per month.
