Job descriptionCLIENT Hospitality Engineering is searching for a highly innovative, enthusiastic and results-driven Senior Architect who has built microservices and application systems at scale using GCP, AWS, or Azure. The candidate should be from a development background and should have experience writing applications using languages such as Java, Scala, and GoLang in Docker containers integrated with third party components. A strong background in network security, including familiarity with TLS and PKI, is a must. The candidate should be comfortable working with full stack engineers, product managers and product delivery teams.

Responsibilities:Lead requirement gathering meetings and review designs with the product ownerMaintain active relationships with Product Owner to understand business requirementsDesign and develop architectures with a focus on network security and privacyPrototype, develop, and troubleshoot software in cloud-native servicesParticipate in collaborative technical discussions that focus on software user experience, design, architecture, and developmentPerform demonstrations for client stakeholders on project features and sub featuresPerform technical design reviews and peer reviews on source code to ensure reuse, scalability and the use of best practicesKeep up to date with technology and apply new knowledge

Ideal Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering or proven work experience in related fieldMaster's degree in a related field preferred10 years of experience designing and developing software in an enterprise environmentProficiency with server-side languages such as JavaExperience with Scala, or other Functional ProgrammingStrong knowledge in creating and working with APIsFamiliar with interfaces such as REST web services, OpenAPI, JSON payloadsExperience with Cloud services, including Google Cloud Platform, AWS, or AzureStrong background in Network Security, including TLS, PKIProven written and oral communication skillsExperience developing using Git, GitHub, BitBucket, or other Git-based RCSStrong complex problem solving and troubleshooting skillsAbility to learn quickly and manage time effectivelyExperience with all or a majority of the following:

Docker and KubernetesCassandra, BigTableGoLang, C#Kafka, Google PubSub, or KinesisElasticSearchSamza, Kafka Streams, or Stream ProcessingAnsible, Chef, or PuppetTerraformPostgreSQL, MySQL or MSSQL
